Criminals also hide their identities behind masks while committing crimes.
@georgetakei I'm literally wondering have any terrorists used cameras to hide bombs or guns? Or even fillmed their own attacks?
@georgetakei
In germany is a law that prevents people from masking/hiding their faces during demonstrations. The police now openly calls face masks and costumes as "passive arming" to be able to interpret them as weapons, mostly on leftist demos.
Honestly, I'm waiting for ICE to use the same trick.
@georgetakei
I’ve said it before …. But I’m willing to bet that all of these masked agents were the same people screaming that having to wearing a mask during COVID was so terrible for them.
@georgetakei I’m taking more pictures. If that makes me a “domestic terrorist,” I guess that means I have less to lose.
@georgetakei Not that the Department of Fatherland Security would care, but people would be a lot better off recognizing the signs of sociopathy and why it’s such a hazard.
@georgetakei What's next, topiary?
@georgetakei time to tear down all those Flock cameras, then…
@georgetakei technically it could be … if they are researching where to cause the most damage, not when they are documenting authoritarian violence
@georgetakei
Do you mean they are terrorist or the ppl with the cameras are terrorists??? BABA (BUY ANYTHING BUT AMERICAN)
@georgetakei
That's kind of true. ICE has been recording their crimes and photographing protesters, and they certainly are terrorists.
@georgetakei the article is dated 2018. It’s probably still accurate but something recent would be a lot better.
@georgetakei
I wonder what might happen if I have this "Photography could be a sign...." printed on a shirt next time I enter an airport.
@georgetakei That's not new and it's not necessarily untrue. For example, people taking thorough sets of pictures of critical infrastructure etc. has long been considered suspicious behaviour (possibly recon for an attack). That's likely what DHS is actually referring to in this post which looks like is from 2018 or so. They are likely NOT referring to exercising your right to record law enforcement operations in public, which is protected activity even if it pisses them off.
@georgetakei Next "criminal" thing is not having a Smartphone in hand during a walk o.o°
@georgetakei I mean... photographing ICE is photographing terrorists & their acts of terrorism.
@georgetakei Calling photography evidence of terrorism started under GW Bush. It continued through the Obama, First Trump, and Biden Administrations. It's stupid and dangerous, but it isn't Trump's idea.
@georgetakei So photography is bad but Photoshop & AI-generated images are fine. Riiiiight… 🤨
We are all terrorists now.
@georgetakei They just keep moving the bar to fit their needs: no Congressional approval, no policy changes just keep making shit up as they go.
There are no rules.
Guess a general buying strike nationwide is the only way to make the administration listen: make the stock market dive, get the billionaires attention the only way they understand. Make them feel the pain for their actions. Buy only what is necessary to sustain your life. Buy nothing new: recycle, reuse, repair.
@georgetakei every time I think it can't get more crazy...
😢

@georgetakei Not long before breathing is considered an act of terrorism.
@georgetakei Well, the first amendment says otherwise.
